Pink's Album, I'm Not Dead. Cwatididthar?Hey guys,

Well, I’ve disappeared from blogging for a while. Because of the large changes that have come to the site in my blogging absence, I’m sure you can understand why I’ve been gone. :)

But anyway, this is just a little message to say I’m back, and haven’t forgotten about my blog. I’ll be offending you with my opinions on various issues super soon! ;) While you wait, check out what I’m playing at the moment! —–>>

Oh and also, excuse P!nk.

Well, the supposed “Game of the Year” is finally out in Ausland. Delay after delay, outrage after outrage, the iconic fighter is out on its new family friendly console.

To be straight up and honest, Brawl is awesome. It really is everything I personally expected, if not more. The one thing I do wonder is how much this PAL release delay has affected, and will affect the game’s sales.

The only reason I bring up this point is due to my local K-Mart only receiving 6 copies of the game for launch day. Now just to clarify, I don’t live in some country town / Perth or anything, but in a major city. Obviously they will get more shipments, but when ringing up to ask if they still had a copy, I was told they had only sold one copy all day. Then I bought my copy, which raised the bar to two.

Pondering the abovementioned thought, I strolled into the overpriced EB Games, and after a chat with the sales assistant, found a very similar story, with their store only selling 3 copies all day.

I think this really shows how delays affect an audience. Not only has Nintendo’s reputation been tarnished, but they have lost a LOT of consumers. On forums around the web, I’ve noticed multiple Wii’s for sale. You guys on our own forums even said you were more hyped for Mario Kart than Brawl, simply because of how long it has taken to get here.

So Nintendo, if you are reading this, along with the many other Nintendo sites around Australia, you’ve really done the dirty on your fans. Oh and also, what the hell is going on with Club Nintendo?

Yes, I know it’s been more than a week, but this one I think we can all relate to. It is something that I personally have had happen so often, I can barely hold an online convo. (lol Quatters)

Enjoy!

Forget GTA IV or Dark Sector, the real gem hitting our shelves is Wii Fit. The program has been reported to call a healthy and active ten-year-old girl overweight when she tried out the game. The girl of course was devastated and the family had a hard time convincing her otherwise. While the family is going to complain, it should be noted that BMI is calculated differently for children, and is only a general guide overall, as it was developed for adults. (as they are fully grown) And, as Shiggy says, it is only a game.

Moral: If Wii Fit says you’re fat, and you’re over 18, take its advice.

The Nintendo Wii. Released globally, currently bringing joy to old people and three year olds around the world.

There’s a bit of a problem with that last statement, “released globally”. See, thing is, Korea is getting the Nintendo Wii on April 26th.

All LOL @ KOREA!! jokes aside… no actually, the jokes are valid.

The funny thing about the whole scenario though, is how close Japan is to Korea. Take a look at the map below. They are the closest to each other out of all the other countries in the world, and they are yet to have the Wii released there.

There is also news of what games they’ll be getting on release day, and also pricing details.

By saying that, I really am stirring shit, as a few others have already pointed out to me. ;)

So basically, I’m talking about the quality of DS games compared to other games on any system on the market at the moment.

The DS has the potential to be better than the rest, but whether its developers want to use that potential to make a genuinely good game or to cash in on a child audience is debatable, but lately it seems to be swinging in the kiddies’ favour with an all manner of ridiculously simple titles that really are that useless the kids themselves wouldn’t even be bothered to play them.

I won’t mention names, as that would be completely unfair and defamatory, but the main reason is every developer at some stage has made one of these “shit games”, whether on purpose or not.
