So, recently (well, quite a while ago, actually, I’ve just been too lazy to write anything) Chrono Trigger was announced for the DS. This got me extremely excited as this is my absolute most favouritest crazy cool game ever. EVER! Now, those young ‘uns might not know about the greatness of this game. It is epic, brilliant, fantastic, orgasmic…

So onto what this blog is actually about (I swear it’s not just me gushing over Chrono Trigger!) - pick up and play games. I like to play games like everyone else, but sometimes, I really don’t want to pour hours into a game. I might be on the bus or just have a spare ten minutes, and I just want to pick up a game and play for a while, and put it down again once I’ve had my fun. I’ve been playing Professor Layton a bit, and this is a game where you can literally do that. Sure it has a story, but I’m hoping it’s not really that important, because to be honest, I’m not playing that much, so I’m forgetting it. But it’s great to pick up, do a couple of puzzles, save, and put it down. I can play for a minute or an hour. It’s brilliant!

Ok, so this isn’t technically gaming related, but being a douche on the internet is hilarious! Even more so when you’ve been drinking.

So I’ve just gotten a 24 hour ban from a pretty big gaming forum for being an idiot. Yes, I did it on purpose, and yes, I was lolling away as it happened (and am still lolling). Anyway, it can be fun.

Onto games (that is what I’m meant to be writing about, isn’t it?), isn’t it annoying when you try to play a game that is primarily in Japanese so you can’t actually understand what you’re doing?

I’m going to stop now >_>

There is nothing good on the horizon except for the Chrono Trigger remake on DS.

Maybe I’m just being really cynical, but the gaming landscape is starting to look really boring.

Also, I’m tired and bored, so you’re not getting more than that.

So, I’ve just come home from Supanova. Pretty fun day! Now for more details!

First me and Quatters arrived, we walked around a bit, and were soon assaulted by R2D2. Yes, there are pictures after the break!

So does anyone else find they will turn on their DS, fire up Pictochat, and just draw rude pictures when you’re really bored?

No? OK, so I am all alone.

So you get Mario Kart Wii, you set it up, start a profile, choose your Mii, and go at it. You finish the game! Congratulations! Then you invite some mates over to play with you. They bring their Mii’s loaded onto their wii-motes. You set up a game, and go to select your characters.

Your friends can’t use their Miis. Why not Nintendo? Why not?

So I’ve been playing brawl recently.

That’s it. I just wanted to brag, because it’s not actually out here yet.

OK, I’m kidding, I do have something to say! So I’ve been playing brawl, and something tends to come up quite often while we’re playing. This is that someone is getting ganged up on. Now, this isn’t necessarily true, as when we look at the stats at the end of the game, it’ll usually be the other two players who have killed each other a lot. Yes, I usually play with three people. I live with my two brothers, so what do you expect?

Now, this is really annoying. How can you not gang up on someone if there are three players? It’s pretty much impossible unless one person stands out while two players duke it out, and then jumps in once one of the players falls. But even then, it’s not fair to the person who just eliminated the other guy (is this getting confusing? I’m writing it and I’m confused), as he will have been taking damage during his battle.

Anyway, this really has no point to it, as I have no idea how to fix this. Also, CPU opponents don’t work, as they’re not as good as humans.

Peace out!

Maxi.

So I was going to write a long post about multi playing fun, but it ended up being a review of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: Rings Of Fate for the DS, so instead, I’m going to write about what to expect from my blog.

Everything. I’m not going to sugarcoat anything either, if I don’t like it, I’ll let you know. I’ll try to keep it videogame related, but that may or may not stay. Anyway, I will write stuff, and you will enjoy it!

Maxi, out.
